Mornington-Arthurs Seat Map Guide

Now for the first time, detailed maps of Victoria’s most visited parks.

The Mornington Peninsula National Park and Arthurs Seat State Park are situated approximately 70kms from Melbourne. Their scenic and panoramic beach views, great walks and excellent natural attractions make these parks popular destinations.

The Mornington-Arthurs Seat Map Guide provides a wealth of information on the parks and their surrounds in an easy-to-read map. The map is designed for use in the parks and the surrounding district. The comprehensive list of telephone numbers, book references and the incisive text will make your next trip to either park even more informative and enjoyable.

Designed primarily for the walker, naturalist or just the curious, the map contains the latest data available and was field checked between October 2000 and February 2001, making it the most accurate and current map available of the area.

The 1:25,000 map covers the main sections of the Mornington Peninsula National Park, while the 1:20,000 maps are enlargements of Point Nepean and Arthurs Seat. Strip maps of the coastal section of Mornington Peninsula National Park, ensure the whole park is covered from Point Nepean through to Flinders. Features include creeks and lakes, tracks and roads, cultural and historical features, as well as road reserves and other linear features to help navigation. Special highlights are the detailed information about the Two Bays Walking Track and the Peninsula Walking Track.

Accompanying the map is a generous amount of text and photography highlighting the parks’ history, flora and fauna, and conservation. There are also sections covering local information, web links, further reading, and local tourist attractions. The map folds to a handy pocket size of 250 x 100 mm and is printed on a hard wearing paper.

The Mornington-Arthurs Seat Map Guide will be distributed throughout bookshops, outdoor recreation stores, local businesses, NRE and Parks Victoria Offices, and Information Centres in the region. It will also be available from all good map shops throughout Australia.

Published in time for the busy autumn season, the map is the third in a new series covering Victoria's popular parks, forests and regions from Meridian Productions, which includes Hattah-Kulkyne and Lerderderg-Werribee Gorge Map Guides Also available is the Mornington Peninsula Info Map covering the entire Mornington Peninsula at 1:50,000.
