This full colour poster depicts an image, taken by the Landsat 7 satellite in late November and early December 1999. It covers Melbourne, its bays, peninsulas and mountain regions. From Geelong in the west to Pakenham in the east, Phillip Island in the south and Whittlesea in the north.
Reproduced at a scale of approximately 1:230 000, the poster vividly details features such as roads, golf courses, shallow water, industrial areas and even individual boats on the bays.
