Max Wurfel has meticulously researched and collated material on the beginnings of 50 or so communities which sprung up in the Murraylands around the railway from Tailem Bend to Pinnaroo. Settlements often started with a meeting venue, then got a school and a football team. A range of resources were used to collate the material along with Max’s own research. The book is a wonderful look at the beginnings of the region and a great resource for those looking into their families history in the region.
